**NEW NYLA DANCE IMPROV SUPERSTAR dance challenge. By ages (mini, tiny, junior, teen, senior, and adults).
Must be 5 dancers minimum per age group or it will be 11 & under and 12 & over except for minis and adults which will always be in their own age group. Happens right before awards. Register for this title with your director and receive your NYLA DANCE improv dance challenge # to wear onstage when your age group is called.
REMINDERS:
**PHOTOGENIC entries will only be accepted via email.
**All TITLES and PHOTOGENIC entries must be received by 12 noon on the Friday prior to the event. No onsite registration for these categories.
**All registering studios at both Regionals and Nationals must have a minimum of 5 dances which must include either one duet/trio or one group dance.
**IMPROV SOLOS (fee includes title). This solo has its own separate division and title division. This solo only competes against other improv solos and not within our regular solo division. See SOLO RULES for details on how to enter.
**UPDATED Incomplete or Run-off Dances Rule. Incomplete or
run-off dances (does not include music or costume malfunctions) will be allowed to perform for a second time but the
highest score they can receive is High Triple Gold and the dance will not be eligible for Overall High Score.
**All music must be uploaded into your online account with a backup USB on site.
**Please refer to the SOLO RULES for all details about registration, payment policy, determining ages, determining and averaging levels, schedules, photogenic entries, photo and video policy, music policy, tie breaking policy (**In the event of a tie, highest technique score will break tie followed by highest performance score should tie still exist) and information on Studio Requirement Policy (**Any dance can complete at NYLA, however, unless the studio registers for 5 dances with 1 being either a group or duet/trio then the dance cannot be considered for OHS, TOP 5, or TITLE awards; only adjudication.)
